I came in contact with Zanders during a lecture on corporate finance when completing my Master in Finance. The topics covered in that lecture looked very appealing to me and after a pleasant discussion on company culture and daily tasks within Zanders, I decided to apply, which was a great decision.
At our Belgian office I am part of our corporate team, where we advise multinational organizations on a wide range of treasury topics. For instance, I am currently involved in the spin-off of a Fortune 500 company where we are defining and implementing a new global liquidity structure. A truly global project impacting functions outside of Treasury as well – very interesting for me to work on.
The Treasury landscape is – partly due to changes in Tax and Accounting regulation – constantly evolving, which makes it a very dynamic field. In combination with an open company culture where there is plenty of room to grow and develop yourself, I believe Zanders is a very interesting organization to work for.
At Zanders you gain exposure to different organizations, persons, processes, and systems, so you have a very steep learning curve as a young-graduate. This can be challenging from time to time, but is very rewarding. Additionally, there is an amazing work atmosphere, which prizes those who take the initiative. You are often individually challenged to develop a solution, but can always rely on the support of your colleagues.
