Your role

As a Zanders Senior Consultant Credit Risk Modelling you will join our ‘Financial Institutions’ team, which consists of 60 highly qualified financial risk management consultants with a quantitative background (95%). As a Senior Consultant Credit Risk Modelling you will work in multidisciplinary teams on a variety of quantitative credit risk projects for a broad spectrum of banks, insurers and asset managers to solve very complex challenges and establish workable models that the bank will put into practice.

In this role you will advise clients, manage smaller projects independently and work in teams on larger projects. You will have your own specific role, clear responsibility and will be the direct point of contact for the client. Each project offers a new challenge, new stakeholders and new complexity. Your impact on the business will be significant!

Apart from the challenging projects on location at the client you will work from our headquarters in Utrecht (as from Q3-2021) on Fridays to catch up with your Zanders colleagues. Fridays are meant for sharing experiences, knowledge development, internal projects, trainings, coffee roulette  and drinks.

Furthermore, Zanders offers a broad range of internal trainings, knowledge sharing sessions and other ways to further develop your skills.


Skills to be successful

  • Master’s degree in econometrics, mathematics, quantitative finance or related topics.
  • A strong interest in developing, designing and performing the quantification of credit risk.
  • Around 2 to 5 years of experience in model development and model validation in the credit risk area.
  • Knowledge of and experience with A-IRB models.
  • Statistical knowledge of large data sets.
  • Interested in regulations and experience with TRIM missions, IMIs, OSIs, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of programming tools like Python, Matlab, SAS, R.
  • Ambitious, entrepreneurial, innovative, strategic thinker.
  • Flexible, willing to travel.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
