Manager: Hedge Accounting and Treasury Control (NL)

We are seeking an experienced individual in hedge accounting and treasury control to add to our expertise and thought leadership. As our hedge accounting and treasury control expert you will be actively involved in client projects as well as developing and marketing our services to clients.

Your role

You will join our established Dutch consulting team to further the growth of our corporate treasury and treasury technology practice. It is also possible to join our UK or Belgium team.

You will:

  • Advise clients on treasury control and hedge accounting processes and the related treasury technology
  • Understand the external regulatory environment in the accounting and finance arena and the impact this may have on the Treasury function
  • Provide subject matter expertise on the correct application of relevant accounting standards relating to financial instruments, foreign currencies and hedge accounting. Provide advice on such matters and analyze the effects of changes in accounting rules on our clients
  • Strong involvement in the growth and revenue generation of Zanders
  • Involvement in business development initiatives, including producing content for proposals, marketing and undertaking research into clients, projects, products and industries
  • Develop, coach and motivate junior members of the team

Skills to be successful

We are looking for a seasoned treasury professional that has solid experience with hedge accounting and treasury control. Ideally you have worked in a consulting roles before, either acting as an internal consultant working in a corporate treasury department or as an external consultant. You are passionate about treasury and are looking to become a recognized subject matter expert within your area of expertise.

In addition we are looking for the following:

  • Masters in Business Economics or Finance or equivalent, preferably complemented with either an Association of Corporate Treasurers (MCT, or equivalent) qualification, or a Certified Controller (Registered Controller or equivalent) or Certified Public Accountant (or equivalent) qualification
  • Deep knowledge of relevant IFRS standards, as well as sound knowledge of treasury combined with the ability to put this knowledge into practice is a prerequisite;
  • Ability to generate new business within treasury and hedge accounting and nurture current clients
  • An established network within the corporate treasury market
  • Excellent verbal and written presentation skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Willing to travel to service the Zanders Corporate Client market
