Zanders’ clients win at prestigious TMI Corporate Recognition Awards

The 2016 TMI Corporate Recognition Awards were held in London on Thursday February 16th and we are delighted that three of our clients were announced as winners for projects undertaken with the support of Zanders.

These awards are widely considered the ultimate achievement in treasury performance whether in terms of strategy and organization, systems and processes or governance and control and are a reflection too of how the respective treasury teams, together with their advisors, remained focused on their objectives to overcome the challenges and obstacles encountered along the way.

The Estee Lauder Companies Inc. – Award for Cash Management in Europe:

Following a series of projects including the development of a three-to-five-year treasury roadmap for cash management and the technology landscape, a bank rationalization and implementation of newly selected banking partners, Estee Lauder now benefits from a highly efficient cash management structure, partnering in Western Europe with BNP Paribas, and a robust technology platform to support further enhancement and development in the future.

British American Tobacco plc (BAT) – Award for In-House Banking:

Zanders has partnered with BAT over several years on its roll-out of a single instance of SAP and global treasury centralization though an In-House Bank. The implementation across 25 countries, of a payments on behalf of (PoBo) model and a collections on behalf of (CoBo) model leveraging Deutsche Bank’s Virtual Accounts solution, represented a further level of centralization which was also enabled by the migration of payables processes to the financial shared services center (FSSC).

Johnson Controls International plc. (JCI) – Award for Treasury Transformation:

Subsequent to the spin-off of the automotive business and merger with Tyco, JCI needed to implement a new treasury function, including the upgrade of the treasury management and payment factory systems together with FIS, and full banking facilities in a very short time-frame. Zanders has enjoyed a long-term relationship with JCI and was pleased to provide support on this complex and time-critical project.

We heartily congratulate Estee Lauder, BAT and JCI on their receipt of these well-deserved awards and look forward to further partnership with them in the future, as with all our clients.
