As a Senior Treasury Consultant in the team Public Sector you advise housing corporations, care and educational institutions and (decentralized) government authorities in the area of treasury, financing and investment solutions.
Your job
Over the past few years, treasury has become increasingly important for institutions working in the public sector, as a result of changing regulations, growth due to increase in scale and the growing impact of the free market system. Risk Management – particularly the control of financing and interest risks – is also starting to play an increasingly important role in this organization. Zanders advises at the strategic level, in the role of independent external expert, but the firm can also offer practical, daily support in the area of treasury management.
As a Senior Consultant, you will advise housing corporations, care and educational institutions and (decentralized) government authorities in the area of treasury, financing and investment solutions. You work on your own or are responsible for the project team. These advisory tasks range from performing a treasury scan, drawing up a treasury year plan, participating in a treasury commission, providing second opinions relating to financing transactions, making proposals aimed at hedging against interest risk to providing support for financing programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will carry out advisory projects either from the Zanders office or at customer site
- You will analyse the strategy, the policy and the organization from a treasury perspective and identify and recommend concrete solutions on the basis of best practice
- You will execute the proposed solutions within the client’s organization and assist in their implementation
- You will play a key role in market and product development and identify best practices for our clients
- You are a sparring partner for the other senior consultants at Zanders
- You are able to engage, motivate and support consultants and associate consultants
Your profile
You have a Master’s degree, preferably in a quantitative or financial field. You have previously been engaged for at least 5 years in a treasury environment, preferably in a consulting role and in the public sector. You have actual knowledge of and a broad experience in treasury management, cash management, corporate finance en risk management. You have excellent communication skills and strong analytical capacities, are pragmatic and solution-oriented and want to work to achieve ambitious objectives together with colleagues within a team. For this position, it’s important that you are fluent in Dutch.
