As a Consultant in the Financial Institutions Advisory Team, you will actively advise the financial institutions clients of Zanders in a diverse range of financial risk management related projects and support the Zanders growth strategy in Switzerland, Austria and Germany.
Your job
Our clients are large and mid-size banks, insurance companies, pension funds and asset managers, in Switzerland as well as in other European countries. Zanders has opened its fourth office in Zurich in April 2010 and continues the growth strategy in the German-speaking markets. Examples of projects are defining the risk governance and risk policies, the design and implementation of hedge strategies , the development of economic capital models and the market valuation of particular portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
- You will advice financial institutions about their financial risk governance and policies
- You will identify the financial risks of organizations and advice how to measure and manage these risks
- You will translate (new) rules and regulations into business processes
- You will advise on a broad range of quantitative aspects within the field of financial risk management
- You will be responsible for projects at the customer site and the project members involved
- You are responsible for maintaining contact with clients and actively contribute to the expansion of the network
- You will identify business opportunities for both existing and/or potential clients
- You will usually work alone or in a team at customer site
- You will contribute to the coaching and mentoring of less experienced colleagues
Your profile
You have previously been engaged in a financial risk management and/or consulting environment for at least 5 years. Your focus has been in Asset-Liability Management, Liquidity, Market and / or Credit Risk management complemented by (international) regulatory standards. You have a university degree, preferably in Finance or another quantitative study. An additional relevant professional qualification (FRM/PRM/CFA) is an advantage. You have well-developed project management, consulting and commercial skills. Moreover, you are eager to further increase your knowledge and personal skills combined with the willingness to significantly contribute to further development of our target markets. Preferably, you already have a network in Switzerland, Austria or Germany. You are fluent in German and English, French is a plus. It goes without saying that you have no problem with travelling.
