“Zanders offers me the opportunity to deal up close with developments in the market”
Bas joined Zanders in 2004. He was already familiar with the organization from the market and his network. “Choosing Zanders was a simple decision to make,” he says. “The total offer of services in combination with the broad client portfolio decided it for me.” Bas is executive consultant in the organization, processes and systems department. He feels at home in his role.
“The development and implementation of treasury operation best practices are extremely interesting activities,” says Bas. “Drawing up business cases, possibly selecting systems or banks and determining the line of action together with the client are other aspects that make the job satisfying. They are all pieces of a puzzle that need to fit together.”
Specialists
Bas finds it important that Zanders employs a large number of specialists who together are able to serve the entire treasury field: from advice to execution; from idea to implementation. “Furthermore, at Zanders, you are strongly encouraged to develop initiatives and to give concrete shape to ideas. There’s also a lot possible at Zanders for colleagues with extensive work experience. There’s strong ownership of one’s own work. As a consultant, you are always working on the best solution for the client’s problem.”
Not followers, but opinion makers
Bas is very clear about his future at Zanders: “Zanders offers me the opportunity to follow the developments in the market up close – and to determine them. At Zanders, I don’t see followers, but rather opinion makers. We have all the knowledge we require in-house to actually fulfill this role. I would like to continue to make my own contribution.’’
