Our values

Our values

Our Business Values are the ingrained principles of the company and our people. These Values serve as the thread woven throughout our company to guide our future actions, decision making and the way we work with our business partners, within our communities and with each other. These Values serve as the moral cornerstones on which Zanders was built, beginning from the establishment of the company in 1994.

The Zanders Business Values and Principles encourage freedom and autonomous decision making. We trust that freedom in decision making will lead to more responsibility, increased entrepreneurship and better results and output.

Our organization fosters an energetic environment to spur the ambition and passion of our teams/employees/people. Ambition is the drive to learn, excel and develop yourself, colleagues and customers. We are passionate about our company, business and our services in which we promote innovation and implement creative solutions.

We perform as one team within Zanders and with our clients. It is not about individual results but about high performing teams. By working together we can realize our ambitions.

We take our work as a professional services organization in the financial industry seriously. Nevertheless fun is an important value for our company. We believe that enjoying what we do is the perfect counterbalance for the nature of our services.

History

Corporate Social Responsibility

We feel closely involved in our direct surroundings and society as a whole.

This is why we defined a number of specific ambitions relating to CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), focusing on sustainability, personnel policy and social involvement. Own initiatives are amongst others;

Green investment

Zanders has invested both capital and manpower in sustainable investment projects. Zanders was one of the initiators and founders of First Green Capital, Windline, Gael and Unser-e.

Sustainable working environment

Zanders feels that continuous focus on optimizing a pleasant, sustainable working environment is simply common sense. We consume ‘green power’ only and encourage clean, smart mobility.

Sponsoring

Various social initiatives deserve support and commitment, both in a physical and a financial form. Zanders annually donates a substantial sponsoring amount to support well-known and lesser known initiatives. Zanders employees are generally involved as a volunteer in such initiatives.

Supervision

Certain activities carried out by Zanders are defined as regulated activities. All consultancy and advice on the use of financial instruments, like interest rate, foreign exchange, debt & capital market products and investments products, are regulated activities.

In order to carry out these regulated activities for our clients, a license from the incumbent authority or central bank is required. For this reason we have established Zanders Financial Services b.v. (ZFS), our regulated legal entity, which has obtained a license from the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets(AFM). Our license, has been passported to Belgium, United Kingdom and Germany, to carry our cross border activities.

In ZFS we have set-up a strict and robust governance and internal control system assuring compliance with the different laws on financial supervision, KYC compliance and laws for the prevention of money laundering and the financing of terrorism. The AFM and De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) monitor the regulated activities of ZFS.
